My approach is collaborative, client centered, pro relationship, and directive.
Welcome, you made it! Taking the first step to therapy is courageous and can seem uncertain and unknown. Regardless if this is your first time seeking therapy or twentieth time, you have arrived! Some questions that can start the therapeutic journey might be "am I surviving life rather than thriving in it?" "Do I want to work through grief, anxiety, loss of meaning and purpose, or interpersonal challenges?" "Are my partner and I ready to discover a new phase of our relationship? Or create a new shared vision for our relationship and/or and family?" Whatever your question is, therapy is a safe and supportive place for your inquiry.

In your relationship, it’s natural to ‘speak different languages,’ leading to confusion and missed connections.
Feeling stuck in your relationship? It’s easy to get trapped in the cycle of old patterns and worn-out perspectives, where problems seem to amplify with every attempt to solve them. Many of my clients want to rebuild connection, foster understanding, and find fresh approaches to long-standing issues. Together, we work to shift focus from the problem itself to uncovering new perspectives and strengths. With guidance, couples find space to heal, grow, and ultimately, to see each other and their relationship in a whole new light.

Through our relationship we uncover old patterns you have of relating that become present in the here-and-now of the therapy work and make room for changes that last.
If you believe that knowing yourself in a deep way can open up potential space for repair and healing, I could be the right therapist for you. There is so much to grieve and love in this world of ours: our personal stories and family histories, the troubles of loved ones, our social and political pain, and the crisis facing our planet. All of this can feel exhausting or impossible to do alone. I work with patients who are creative, innovative, have unique perspectives on the world and are curious to open up to what is stuck in them in order to repair, heal and become more vital inside and within their relationships and the world.

The therapeutic relationship is unique in that it is highly personal and, at the same time, a contractual agreement.
The most pronounced trait I have encountered in my clients over the last nine years is resilience. I believe that every person has the innate capacity to overcome the difficulties that life presents. This potential is tapped through collaboration with clients to discover which tools and approaches will work best in each situation. My therapeutic approach includes modalities from acceptance and commitment, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, existential, feminist, and mindfulness therapies. I strive to meet my clients where they are in their healing process and provide safe, non-judgmental, kind, and direct counseling.

I believe that we all have an inner badass.. until life - either someone, something or a series of circumstances- happens. And that is where I come in- to help guide you back to your badass self! I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate big life changes, challenges and identity shifts- such as divorce or the end of a relationship, making decisions about if parenthood is right for you, leaving that career or relationship that doesn't fill you up or setting boundaries with that family member or friend that is making your life miserable.

I believe therapy works best when we have a relationship based in trust and understanding.
Are you low-key (or high-key) stressed out by almost everything lately? Are your relationships more tense than free-flowing? Maybe you're looking forward to your drinks after work, more intensely than ever before. The stresses of daily life are piling up. Being at home with the people you love most, brings more pain and heartache. The silence is deafening. Drinks or watching TV alone are the only way to maintain the peace. During our time together you can expect a supportive environment where we can collaborate together to achieve your goals for the future and your relationships. First responders, parents, and anyone stressed out.

I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship distress, difficult transition, school/work issues, low self-esteem, and addiction. Although I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective, I incorporate techniques from several different theories depending on the clients’ personality and circumstances. I work with clients to hear their concerns without judgment and to explore ways to achieve emotional growth, develop skills, and achieve desired changes.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
