Congratulations on taking steps towards choosing you! It can be a difficult process to find a therapeutic relationship that best suits your needs.
I have been in the field of Mental health and counseling for close to 20 years. Guiding teens and families in wilderness therapy, working in schools with adolescents and families, with addiction and recovery, and managing a family stabilization program with immigrants and refugees. I come to this relationship as a human first, with the invitation to reconnect with your authentic being more deeply, learning to trust the innate knowing of your highest self and stepping more fully towards healing. When deepening relationship with the natural world around I believe it helps us to better understand the world within.

Therapy can be intimidating, finding the right therapist to work with, can feel downright overwhelming. My focus, in therapy, is to create a safe and meaningful space; a space where you feel respected and heard. Through building a meaningful relationship, we can foster growth and ultimately a place to heal. My focus is working with people struggling with life, whether it be anxiety, depression, or trauma. In addition to working with individuals, I also work with couples who may be struggling with their relationship and navigating healthy interactions.

You can't see it, but you can definitely feel it - the chest tightness, racing heartbeat, upset stomach, sweaty hands - the telltale signs of stress and anxiety are so uncomfortable and overwhelming! If only you could measure and see how stressed you were, then you could figure out what to do and how to better manage it. And maybe you could start sleeping well again too. Or maybe you're losing sleep over a really difficult relationship with a partner, parent, child, or even a friend, and you just need to sort through it with someone who isn't any of those people. I am here to help you with all of these issues.

Are you a nature/animal lover longing to restore your natural rhythms, wellbeing, and resiliency? Are you finding that harder to do in today’s fast-paced, screen-driven world? Are your relationships strained, or maybe you feel isolated and alone? Does your body ache or suffer with chronic illness from the unrelenting stress? Do you instinctively know that you need more than talk therapy? If so, you are in good company. Our clients arrive in a whirlwind of unprocessed grief, trauma and overwhelm. They learn to ground and heal in a therapeutic relationship with our clinicians, our therapy animals, and our connection to nature

I believe that therapy is a partnership, a collaboration between counselor and client to reach your goals. Those goals may be concrete, like learning coping skills to treat depression symptoms, or abstract, like figuring out who you are and who you want to be. Therapy is not one-size-fits all, therefore I’m committed to tailoring my therapy to my clients’ needs using solution-focused, trauma-informed, and multiculturally competent approaches. If you've had therapy in the past and left thinking "but all I did was talk, what should I actually do about any of this?" I might be the right therapist for you.

At Dalliance, our clinicians are extensively trained to support individuals who are overwhelmed with work, parenting, relationship distress, and grief over what life "should" be.
As a certified sex and relationship therapist, I find many people have difficulty talking about sex and often define themselves by the sexual challenges they live with. Instead of seeing sexual differences as negative or bad, what if we can redefine them to focus on our ability to feel pleasure during our sexual experiences? Sex is often not “safe” for people in emotional or physical pain. Some people develop a fear of engaging in sex; others avoid even talking about sex. When leaning into fear and avoidance, they give up on pleasure and sexuality.

My passion and expertise lies within helping couples become closer and solve the riddles that create distance in relationships. Over the years, I have targeted my education and training to help couples identify exactly where their problems reside. Sometimes relationships simply need a few tweaks and sometimes they need surgery. Regardless, I will help you and your partner implement targeted skills that are intentionally applied based on your unique relationship needs. Not all relationships require the same treatment. I feel confident that together we will be able to help you find relief, build hope, and find what works for You!

We'll notice how your experience of relationships is felt within this relationship, and my hope is that you'll talk about whatever comes to mind which will bring us to the heart of your concerns.
Welcome to my psychoanalytic practice for adults. Our minds have a huge influence on how we think and feel each day; slowing down and noticing subtle aspects of ourselves with a trained analyst can provide much needed integration of powerful emotions that have not yet had a voice for expression. People can articulate emotions without feeling them, experience emotions in the body, can't find words, and unthinkingly go into action never quite feeling satisfied. Integrating feelings and thoughts vitalizes human life.

I also believe the relationship between a client and therapist is one of the greatest healing tools around.
Do you struggle with a sense of failure?...An avoidance of being yourself for fear of rejection or criticism?...Are you anxious or sad and overwhelmed?... Inner struggles often result in outward stress and confusion in relationships, parenting, work or school performance, and life enjoyment. It's time for you to step out of the shadows of self-doubt and worry. Therapy can help you feel better about yourself and your relationships, while also providing effective tools for handling challenges. You deserve a fulfilling life that includes feeling good about yourself and enjoying your important relationships.

I know that my clients are the experts of their own lives and I seek to discover and understand that expertise in order to build a trusting, therapeutic relationship and to learn how to best work with each individual .
These are very difficult times that we are currently in and the impact to mental health can be great. With life often feeling chaotic or lonely and the future seeming unsure, it is only natural to start feeling anxious or sad. Taking the step to reach out for help to address and work through such feelings, or any feelings you might currently be experiencing, is already a sign of great resiliency. My role, as a counselor, is to walk alongside my clients to help draw out and direct all that inherent strength and resourcefulness.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
