I have worked with individuals from all walks of life, including adolescents, adults, and couples. I believe there are many reasons we struggle with mental health issues or addiction. Therefore, my approach is tailored to your needs to work toward the best possible outcome.

I view the counseling process as forming a trusting relationship with you to explore the nature of who you are, why you are, & the nature of the problems you face. I use an eclectic approach including a variety of counseling theories to meet individual needs. I believe there is purpose in behavior which is shaped by positive, negative, and traumatic experiences. Throughout the counseling process we will explore how negative thoughts & experiences have reinforced the perception of oneself & worldview, and how to replace negative thinking patterns/behaviors to increase self-worth leading to fulfilling relationships and connections.

I work with adults, adolescents, and couples struggling with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief, loss, and relationship challenges. I am available Monday through Friday daytime hours with some evening sessions. I offer in-person sessions from my Lakewood office, as well as teletherapy sessions. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapies, psychodynamic, and client centered approaches to support clients.

I graduated with my MSW and a certificate in trauma from Simmons University. My main areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, and life changes. I have a background working with children and families with intense traumatic experiences. Currently, I am working with clients ages 5-24. I take pride in working alongside children and young adults to give them the skills they need to learn and grow. I utilize a variety of interventions, including TF-CBT, attachment theory, mindfulness, somatic process, active listening, motivational interviewing, grounding, and psycho-education.

I specify in working with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues. I create a comfortable space for clients to explore their identity and work on their relationship issues. I have extensive experience working with the LGBT+ community exploring sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, as well as interpersonal relationship issues. Through my experience in child welfare, I have developed a trauma-focused lens to help clients work through their symptoms of anxiety, depression, and mood regulation to attain joy and fulfillment in life once again.

The quality I most desire in clients is authenticity. I view the therapeutic relationship as being based upon mutual trust, and it is difficult to enact meaningful change if we fail to present our genuine selves.
