In working together, we will focus on your past traumas, life stressors, or the way that you react to certain situations. We can explore your past family systems, current relationships, societal influences, and life changing experiences along the way to offer insight, perspective, and tools to meet your individual needs and goals. I have a vast array of experience both personally and professionally. My clients are often looking for something beyond skills, strategies and a diagnosis. I work best with people who are looking to really sort out what's going on in their lives, and who are interested in potent and lasting change. As an avid climber, skier fisherman, I frequently work with individuals from the climbing, skiing, mountaineering and other outdoor recreation communities. I am passionate about walking beside my clients, undoing their aloneness, and have a strong sense of justice, advocating with passion for my clients. I believe our relational experiences significantly impact our health and wellbeing, including the therapeutic relationship. When we feel less alone in our experiences of pain and distress, we can more easily connect to ourselves and others in a way that supports individual and collective health. Within a safe space, and through an attuned relationship with ourselves and others, we all have the power to tune into our instinct towards healing.

The majority of my adult clients identify as female, and are early thirties to mid sixties. Subjects that bring people in to see me for therapy are life transitions, upheavals, anxiety, depression, divorce, parenting, and mid-life struggles. I see teens and young adults adjusting to independence from family, friendship challenges, mental health challenges, body dysmorphia, identity, self image, and anxiety and/or depression. Together we discuss what brought them to this point in life, what their expectations may be, and how to move forward. I also incorporate art therapy in my practice and use it as part of the therapeutic process.

I specialize in working with children, pre-teens, teens and college students who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger and aggression, low self-esteem and trauma experiences. I combine my expertise in Human Development, Synergetic Play Therapy, Somatic Therapy and person centered techniques to help the child, teen or young adult shift their nervous system and find regulation through connection, mindfulness, attunement and play.

Relationship habits with our intimate partners can create familiarity and easefulness—they can also inhibit a fresh and fulfilling way of being together.
