Amy Bishop graduated with her MSW from the University of Denver in 2004. She works with children ages 3-18 and adults. She has extensive training in alternative forms of therapy, grief and loss, and trauma. She is trained in multiple therapeutic interventions including art, play, sandtray, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, problem solving therapy, group therapy, solution focused therapy, among others. She fundamentally believes we all have everything we need within ourselves to create change in our own lives and she is there to walk beside us in that journey.

Everyone has times in their life when they feel stuck, indecisive, and deeply troubled. Engaging in therapy can help you find answers, find peace, and happiness. In my work with clients I implement a strength-based approach and a strong belief that change is possible, that challenges can be addressed and resolved, and even used for personal growth. I view my role as a therapist is to guide and empower individuals to tap into their own hidden wisdom and limitless potential.

I will meet you where you're at. I will support you, and challenge you, so that you can be the you that you WANT to be. We will address your needs and work together to facilitate desired change. You will learn to identify how your thinking, feelings and behaviors are connected. We will work to understand how your life experiences are stored in your body and how they may be adjusting the way you think, function, feel, experience sensation and relate to others. You will develop a new sense of control through increased awareness and direct attention to what is and is not working, fighting fear and restoring personal power.
