A large portion of my practice currently are LGBTQIA folks working on a variety of life's challenges not always related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
Therapy can help everyone, not just those with a "diagnosis." In everyday life, challenges are thrown at us that we can't always work out on our own. I help people process these challenges as they occur. Death of a loved one, relationship issues, work stressors, life transitions, etc - can be upsetting, distracting and decrease overall happiness and quality of life. Evidence has shown that people who have an unbiased, safe space to process these events move through them more quickly, gain clarity, improve productivity and ultimately thrive in their lives.

I identify as LGBTQIA+, a brain enthusiast, invisibly disabled, a therapist in therapy, and a repressed emo kid.
I am a clinical social worker with passion for trauma and mood disorders. I use a collaborative approach with clients and support systems to address challenges with mood, suicidal ideation, self-harm, anxiety and other behaviors that are no longer serving your needs. I enjoy clients who can be vulnerable, who want to do things differently, and who are willing to be challenged. Bonus points if you use humor to cope and want to listen to music and color in session.

I’m proudly LGBTQ+ affirming, and open to all relationship constellations, including consensually non-monogamous and polyamorous couples.
I believe everyone deserves a place to process the difficulties that life throws at us, and I’m here to meet you with warmth and support. I work with teens (16+), adults, and couples, and have advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy. As a documentary filmmaker in my previous career, I believe in the power of the stories that we hold about ourselves; and as a therapist, I believe in the power of examining and rewriting those stories to make ourselves feel more whole, valued, and loved.

I'm especially passionate about working with young adults, complex trauma, and LGBTQ+ folks.
Hello and welcome! Reaching out for support and connection while we're hurting can be so challenging, I’m glad you’re here. We all deserve a safe and affirming space to tell our story and reconnect with our authentic self. My therapeutic approach is non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and social-justice based, and I draw from narrative, feminist, existential, and person-centered therapies. I believe therapy is collaborative and I rely on curiosity and compassion as necessary tools in the therapeutic process.

I have personal and clinical experience with many issues including marriage, parenting, divorce, grief/loss, career transitions, co-parenting, blended families, high-conflict situations, sex /intimacy, and supporting LGBTQIA+ families.
Do you find yourself feeling frustrated, alone, and that no matter what you try doesn't work with your partner? Is it difficult to have tough conversations with a loved one? Do you want to feel like you have a partner and not just a roommate? You do not have to struggle alone with these issues or wait until a crisis. There is hope! It's possible to change how you communicate and connect so both partners feel more seen, heard, and understood.

Some areas that I am very passionate about are: Trauma, substance abuse, LGBTQIA+, divorce recovery, postpartum, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and self harm.
Life is full of many twists and turns and it can be difficult at times to sort everything out. I would be honored to support you during this time. My hope is that, together, we can help you regain a sense of hope, enhance your quality of life, and rediscover joy in your life. I enjoy using art and music in sessions as a way to express emotions when there aren’t enough words to describe the complex emotions we experience as humans. As a therapist, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore emotions, challenges, hopes and dreams.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to start a journey towards greater wellness – I know that it’s not easy! We all have experiences in life that shape the way that we experience the world, our relationships and ourselves – and some of these experiences can have long-lasting impacts on our ability to experience true happiness. As your therapist, I will be a compassionate, supportive and affirming partner in helping you to relieve the anxiety and distress created by these experiences and showing you the strength and potential that exists inside of you

The work I do with clients is rooted in the belief that connecting with all of the parts that make us who we are and forming meaningful relationships with our surrounding community (both human and non-human) can help us find solid ground in times of stress, trauma, and challenging life transitions. I specialize in helping children, teens and young adults develop the skills to find nervous system regulation, form healthy attachments, and build skills to manage anxiety and depression. I predominantly (and not exclusively) work with folks in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, believing that every body deserves a caring space to heal and restore
