By building a strong relationship the individual will be able to explore many avenues previously unexplored.
I am a caring and compassionate mental health clinician that offers a variety of services for those in need. I specialize in working with adults, couples and adolescents, although I do have a lot of experience working with children as well. My approach is one of information gathering to get a true understanding of the problem and then one of collaboration with the client in order to determine the best treatment or treatment options moving forward. Mental Health issues can be complicated and I am dedicated to finding what is making things so difficult and offering good ways to solve the problems.

I specialize in relationship issues, including codependency. I can help you break old relationship patterns, attract a healthy partner, and bring your best self to a new relationship. There is often underlying attachment trauma with codependency. I address this using a somatic (body)-based psychotherapy that heals these wounds at the deepest level. I am trained in Hakomi and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. My ideal client is someone who is ready to change, is self-aware and self-reflective - someone who is committed to their own growth and development, and willing to put in the time and energy it takes to create a life they love.

Therapy provides a unique opportunity to know ourselves on a deeper level. Developing such insight, I have found, allows us to better realize our potential and more clearly see how to overcome our struggles. Whatever your specific struggle — a difficult relationship, feelings of anxiety, depression, or self-doubt — things can get better, and the right therapeutic relationship can help.

I believe my relationship with my clients is the single most important contributor to their success.
Accepting NEW clients at our new Highlands Location - 8/1/2024. Each of us learns how to cope and develops patterns of relating to others based on our life experiences. Simply put, we do what we know, what we’ve been taught, or what has been modeled for us. If you’re reading this, chances are something isn’t working and you might be feeling restless, hopeless, angry, or some other combination of feelings. And you aren’t alone. I will help you sort through those old patterns to understand them while also developing new skills to address your feelings and problems using a relaxed, nonjudgmental and mindfulness-based approach.

Having over thirty years of personal experience with various meditative practices, I find the therapeutic process is enhanced when it includes the contemplative dimension in the shared space of the therapeutic relationship.
I strive to give each patient the experience of being clearly seen and deeply understood. This occurs through interactive inquiry into the unique life experiences of each person. As we explore the sources of anxiety and distress that typically bring someone in to see me, trust develops and becomes the foundation for continued growth. Gradually, suffering diminishes, and there is an increase in self understanding and personal freedom. My hope is for each patient to live fully in the present with a strong sense of self, and with the capacity to have relationships that are rich and deeply satisfying. .

We will also use groundbreaking and forward-thinking methods like EMDR, yoga, nature, and more to work through substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, fertility, perinatal and postpartum concerns, and relationship issues.
You are unlike any other being that exists. You are a creative force. You go against the grain and it might feel like you don't fit in. Society has tried to box you in for so long that you've pushed away and hidden little parts of your soul. You may have numbed your feelings and ignored your heart's desires as a trade for comfort, stability, acceptance, and normalcy. I understand, because I've been there too, but this is what I know for sure. Our soul is crying out for true freedom.

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, self-improvement, relationship issues, intimacy, self-awareness, mindfulness, childhood trauma, mind/body connection, spirituality and self-compassion.
I want to help you create a meaningful, happier life! Together we can explore the feelings and emotions (anxiety/depression/fear) that have been weighing on you, and release past experiences that have accumulated over time. We will build new thought patterns through self-awareness practices so you can show up consistently, with yourself and others. I will give you tools that support you in feeling more fulfilled and physically at ease. My goal is to help you make sense of why you feel the way you do. In doing so, we will bring deeper meaning and connection to your life. Therapy is a healthy place to begin building the life you want!

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
