I’ve always been moved by humans’ ability to heal and grow through challenging times. I’m excited to engage with clients that are ready to be vulnerable, and dive into therapy to learn, grow, heal, and change. I look forward to helping clients that have felt paralyzed by fear and anxiety to feel free and more fully experience life. Clients that apply what we talked about between sessions and put in effort to practice recommended exercises/interventions often see significant change quickly.

Therapy is a relational experience. In the initial stages of that encounter, we either connect at a core level, or the work does not progress. You don't want merely to be diagnosed, but to be understood. As a Jungian Analyst, I engage with your curiosity about your psychological life. Together we work to understand and transform the patterns that have ruled your life. The self-awareness that develops from this work has the potential to enhance all outer relationships. But most important is the intra-psychic experience of knowing and loving yourself again, or maybe for the first time.

You’re smart, hard working, and from the outside - you look successful. But keeping up feels exhausting. The laptop time that bleeds into personal time. The constant crisis-management. The fear of failure. The push and pull between reaching your goals and taking time to enjoy your life. The isolation, imposter syndrome, and second-guessing. Work-life balance feels impossible when you're always thinking about work and you always feel "behind." You know something needs to change, you just aren’t sure what, or how.

If you have experienced trauma in your life and are at a place where most other talk therapies have not helped you. There's hope. Trauma is not an intellectual experience. It's a full body experience. That's why you aren't "getting better" with the mental exercise of regular talk therapy. While it helps to understand your trauma, it will continue to be experienced in the body and the nervous system as physical symptoms. Recovery from trauma is full body, as well as a heart and mind experience.

Do you ever feel like you struggle to grasp or maintain control of your life? Or do all your relationships feel the same and lack the substance you’re looking for? Or maybe you struggle to connect to your feelings and express them in healthy ways. Sometimes when we grow up around chaos, chaos feels more comfortable than stillness, leading to a life of self-sabotaging and negative behaviors.

I'm here to help you release ideas of who you 'should' be as you embrace and make space for who you really are. Unfinished mental and emotional energy patterns of past experiences can resurface in painful ways, limiting our ability to be present and dimming our light. By exploring this pain with conscious intention we encounter our soul's greatest lessons, our richest opportunities for growth, and deep personal transformation. It takes tremendous courage to examine our reality and decide something needs to change. Together we will work to remove barriers to joy and peace while reigniting an excitement for your life.

It is vulnerable to be looking for help. This is especially true when your life is constantly changing and you are being overwhelmed by both the choices and expectations you have for the future. It is common in life to feel stuck. You know you are stuck when you feel like you never meet the hopes you have for yourself, are deeply burdened by the fear of making the wrong decision in life, and are exhausted by the expectations of others. You are trying to keep it together, your job, kids, and social life, but it's just not working.

Thank you for viewing my profile. I have 3 graduate degrees, all in mental/behavioral health, licenses in Co. and CA., and I am comfortable in working with a vast array of issues. I have worked in several mental health settings throughout my career, including: community mental health, hospitals, dialysis centers and private practice. My theory basis is psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral, but I always work with the patient in their comfort level and style. I strongly feel that therapeutic success comes from my ability to help others help themselves. I look forward to potentially working with you. Dr. Jacks

As a therapist, I am a great match for clients who want to transcend old patterns, build more self-trust, and experience a more spacious and peaceful inner world. I believe that all people have an intrinsic desire to move towards connection, health, and aliveness and I have a knack for helping people access these qualities within themselves. I have a lot of experience in the world of addiction and family systems, specifically working with clients who have a loved one dealing with an addiction. I specialize in treating codependency, compassionate boundary setting, and helping you find your voice.

My passion is working with couples to positively impact their relationship and find new ways of communicating with each other, and I have found that using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is an exceptional tool to address attachment in family systems. I have also been fortunate enough to expand my experience into addressing substance use and the impact that it can have on not only the individual, but the entire family. Regardless of who is part of the family system, my goal is to help you reach your goals.

I believe that we all have an inner badass.. until life - either someone, something or a series of circumstances- happens. And that is where I come in- to help guide you back to your badass self! I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate big life changes, challenges and identity shifts- such as divorce or the end of a relationship, making decisions about if parenthood is right for you, leaving that career or relationship that doesn't fill you up or setting boundaries with that family member or friend that is making your life miserable.
