An ideal client is determined, looking to improve their personal or professional life. They may feel stuck, unfulfilled, stressed, or defeated by trauma. Their needs include guidance, a listening ear, strategies for improvement, and motivation. Their goals include growth, improved performance, better work-life balance, and achieving their full potential. They want to overcome obstacles, value self-improvement, personal satisfaction, and they want to live a more fulfilling life. For a child this may look like improved moods, a new self-worth, new coping skills understanding of self and emotions, and perseverance in school.

If someone were to ask you what matters most to you in your life, what would be your response? Perhaps it is to be the best parent you can be? To be a trusted and loved partner and friend? No longer letting fear and anxiety control your decisions? Or is it the simple, not so simple response of, happiness? Regardless of your response, therapy is often the most fruitful investment one can make on their journey to living a life of purpose and true meaning. It is my pleasure to walk alongside you as a sounding board, skill developer, cheerleader, and honest advisor as you explore what and who matter most to YOU.

So often, therapy is seen as a tool used to cure someone; like healing a broken leg with physical therapy. In truth, my role is to support you, and help you understand and feel comfortable as your whole self. We work together to create a safe space where healing is possible. Life is challenging, and so often the strategies we use to handle those challenges can backfire, leading us feeling stranded and confused about our next steps. This is when you reach out to me. Together, we will work towards making you feel comfortable in your own identity.

Finding a therapist who is the right fit for you is a stressful undertaking but worth the time and effort. I really enjoy working with individuals who are introspective, resilient, and want to make the most out of their time in sessions. While working in a training institute I have supervised many new therapists starting their careers and the most common complaint I have heard is that the therapist is "nice" or "supportive" but does not help the client make changes. Balancing support and validation with the push people need to live the life they want to be living is the true testament of the therapist's skill.

I am a clinician that focuses on adult clients aged 18-65+ that are pursuing mental health and substance use disorder treatment both concurrently and separately. I’m a big believer in harm reduction, holistic wellness and trauma informed care. My experience lies in establishing helpful mental tools with clients so that they can use them any time they are faced with distress. The best approach in my opinion is to go with a person centered approach with an additional focus in how the client can help themselves
