My style is rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based models, and I aim to provide LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and culturally affirming services.
I believe that curiosity heals, that healing comes from approaching our lives with greater openness & non-judgement. I work with individuals and couples/intimate relationships impacted by trauma, relationship issues, chronic illness, grief, & identity exploration. Using a caring and direct approach, I support clients to gain deeper understanding, increase emotional regulation, & use more effective conflict management strategies. I believe that our world often makes it seem like we need to be fixed when really we need trust, connection, and tools to cultivate desired change within ourselves and our relationships.

Have you lost your sense of self? Do you find yourself feeling numb or just "going through the motions" of life? Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed with anxiety or stress? Are you someone that can usually keep it all together, but lately you've been finding yourself struggling to keep your head above water? You are not alone, and things can get better. Whether it was the birth of a new child, a recent loss of a relationship, a shift at work, childhood trauma, or some combination of stressors I work with my clients to explore what is going on beneath the surface to discover a path forward, toward purpose, peace and healing.

Specialties: panic, anxiety, depression, life transitions, neurodivergency, BURNOUT, eating disorders, chronic pain, relationships, trauma (current, childhood, complex, religious, medical).
Hi there! My name is Martha, welcome. Man, I know weeding through these profiles can feel monotonous and disingenuous. So here it is: I truly use a whole body approach to support you in coming home to yourself. I want to help you feel your way into healing, not think it. I am not a check-list therapist. Too many therapists bring you to baseline and then fall out. New, healthier patterns have to be established, for healing to transcend. My clients seek a well-seasoned professional who is capable of balancing realness with a high level of expertise.

I offer Couples Counseling and Individual Counseling. Sometimes you can get stuck in unproductive patterns due to unresolved trauma, or learned behavior from the past. This can be harmful to your relationships, family, and ultimately yourself. You can move out of this space by taking back control of your thoughts and behaviors. Individual therapy allows for a consistent place to work through trauma, anxiety, depression and other issues that impact your fulfillment. Talk therapy is effective but not for everyone. We can also look into EMDR therapy if you need to try something new.

Life transitions, depression, anxiety, and substance use. These issues can coexist and be interconnected, leading to a complex web of challenges. Through a person-centered approach, I create an environment built on trust, empathy, and genuine connection. I integrate trauma-informed care and acknowledge the impact of past trauma on mental health and substance use. I create a safe and empowering environment where people can process their experiences. I am aware of the needs and triggers that arise during therapy and work with my clients to develop coping strategies and interventions.

I have dedicated over 10 years to supporting individuals who have bravely endured trauma and other difficult challenges.
Now offering weekend appointments! I understand that navigating through tough situations can be challenging. It can feel like no matter what you do, things just don't seem to get better. We've all experienced those tough times. But remember, there's hope. Deep down, each of us holds the power to find our way through difficult situations and get back on track. The real challenge is finding someone who can support and guide us, helping us to rebuild confidence so that we can regain control of our lives. I understand how important it is to lend a helping hand. Assisting others is not just what I do for a living, it's my true passion.
