As a trauma informed therapist, I honor the uniqueness of each client to promote well-being.
Now more than ever people are struggling and feeling anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about life. Do you feel disconnected and lost? I provide a safe place for clients to feel heard and understood in their own life experiences. I meet people where they are at, sit with them in their current feelings and emotional states and support them to move through these states. My job is to empower you to harness your inner strengths, develop self-agency through self-regulation, and teach you a few things along the way. My main goal is to guide you inward to a place of knowing and healing.

I am passionate about working with individuals who feel stunted by the lingering impact of trauma, PTSD, substance abuse, and early childhood relational wounding.
All of us have acquired habits of mind, body, and thought as a means of seeking safety and connection throughout times of stress, chaos, or trauma in our lives. My intention is to help you shift any unwanted habits or patterns as we mutually explore alternative ways for you to manage your mind, regulate your nervous system, and attend to your body with self-love and acceptance. Therapy isn’t about ‘fixing’ oneself; rather, it is a journey from insight to integration, a reclamation of everything you have lost along the way, a practice of gentleness, and a return to wholeness.

I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, PTSD, and OCD and have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, gender dysphoria, self-harm, and chronic pain & illness.
Psychotherapy can provide an invaluable space to explore our fears and suffering with a compassionate witness. Over time, we are able to befriend aspects of ourselves that we have suppressed and begin to recognize that our symptoms are coping skills we have used to survive. I seek to provide gentle guidance to clients to help them move into discomfort, expand their insight, and discover previously untapped strength and resources, while also respecting each person’s unique process and pacing. I have a holistic approach, taking into consideration the mind, body, and spirit as integral to healing.

I am certified as: a Clinical Trauma Professional Level II, Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Clinical Telemental Health Provider.
Do you have a stack of partially read self-help books collecting dust in the corner? Maybe you had hopes they would provide the information you were seeking to stay cool and collected through challenging times - because let’s face it, 2020 was pretty much a shitshow. It is alright to feel overwhelmed, confused, and uncertain. When stressors create intrusive thoughts of not being enough or fears of abandonment, it can be helpful to talk to someone. Whether you are looking for coping strategies to build resiliency through life transitions or wanting to explore deeper parts of yourself and how you relate to the world, I am here.

I love helping my clients through a variety of clinical strategies, but mainly, I use techniques from narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for processing trauma.
I love working with people struggling with anxiety, panic, trauma, or who are pregnant/postpartum, who are wanting to figure out how to function better and feel more contentment and calm—even in today's increasingly overstimulating, complex, and inequitable world.

I specialize in supporting individuals who are working through experiences of trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use.
I believe that therapy can help us to move toward greater self-understanding, empowerment, and fulfillment. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic space in which you and I can collaboratively process through thoughts, feelings, and experiences with openness and compassion. So often societal messages and stigmas can cause us to view our behaviors with shame and judgment, which can lead us to feel even more stuck. My goal is to support you in slowing down, shifting toward curiosity and compassion, and feeling empowered to make the changes that you seek.

Using a tailored combination of "parts work", EMDR, neurofeedback and Deep Brain Reorienting, we work to target three levels in our trauma reprocessing - thoughts, feelings and body- for true healing of wounds.
Do you feel like you are stuck in past trauma, living a life that is out of alignment with who you want to be? Would you like to develop a greater understanding of how your nervous system functions so that you can release the past rather than continue to live from it? Are you looking to increase your capacity for self compassion? Are you curious about investigating trauma reprocessing modalities such as EMDR and Deep Brain Reorienting to facilitate a deeper level of healing? These are the concerns that I focus on in my practice and I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey.

EMDR is an evidenced based treatment and has been shown to be effective for treating anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress symptoms, dissociative disorders, depression, and phobias.
Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, or other emotional struggles that seem impossible to get through? Do these things interfere with your life goals and relationships? You don't have to stay stuck where you are. Therapy can be very helpful with the effort of both the clinician and client. I don’t believe one approach is fitting for everyone as I come from an eclectic view. I will work with you through a therapeutic modality we both agree fits your needs and where you are in your journey towards health.

My offerings, including expressive arts, canine assisted interventions, dialectic and cognitive behavioral therapy, are always trauma informed and person centered.
Negative experiences shape how we think about ourselves, but they don't have to define us forever. We can learn new ways of relating to ourselves and the people around us via a variety of therapeutic modalities. With a therapist who can hold space for you with compassion and wisdom, you can overcome obstacles and cultivate resilient wellbeing. I might be helpful to you if: You know what it is like to feel held back from life, but don’t know how to engage; You crave connection and community, but feel uncomfortable reaching out to others; You feel disconnected from your body – you may not recognize there is a disconnect.

As a lead therapist at BLND Health and nurse, I specialize in trauma/complex PTSD, domestic violence, anxiety/depression, personality disorders, interpersonal relationship conflict, healthcare professionals, and overall health and wellness.
Often individuals believe therapy is a monotonous, painful process that requires sitting on the couch for hours over the course of several months or years. As someone who works in the medical and mental health fields, it is an honor to be a part of BLND Health, a company that sees the whole person and brings creativity and fun into counseling. I tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual. It is a great joy to empower people on their journey of growth, healing, and creating a life of fulfillment in unique ways.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
