Welcome to Listening Hearts Counseling. I know that making the decision to begin therapy can be difficult, but choosing to do so shows incredible strength and a desire to invest in you. Life is at times a struggle, with moments of darkness, instability, confusion, and fear of where to go. Emotional pain can result from past memories, life transitions, or losses. It manifests itself in various ways -- anxiety, depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem, addictive behaviors, or a pattern of poor choices. You have the power to grow to a place where painful events no longer control your life.

I work with a wide variety of clients from depression, anxiety , bipolar, anger management, PTSD, disability disorders, Marital, partners, and family therapy. My youngest client is 18 months and my oldest client is 86 years old.

Have you experienced a stressful or traumatic experience that has left you feeling not like yourself? After these types of experiences, the most common thing people tell me is "I just wish I could go back to how it was before." You might be wrestling with painful memories, have difficulty connecting with others, and struggle to feel safe, both with the outside world and even yourself. These are all NORMAL reactions to difficult experiences but they do not have to be your forever. While we cannot undo the past, we can work to process and overcome these events in order to find and a path forward.

I am a patient, insightful, and encouraging therapist with 20 years of experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with clients ages 16 years old up through the adult life span. Client issues I work with range from low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, OCD, couple's counseling (communication skill building), grief & loss, stress and anger management. As a cognitive/behavioral therapist, I thoroughly enjoy working with clients who have a wide variety of issues and concerns. Additionally, I am trained in life coaching and mediation.

John B. Evans, PhD, LCSW, is dedicated to working with individuals, couples, and families via tele-therapy to help with multiple life issues. Dr. Evans has found tele-therapy to be very effective in almost all cases. With 35 years of experience, Dr. Evans will provide you with expert guidance in dealing with current problems you may not understand and help figure out what may be going on under the surface.Many people have found they make more and faster progress in therapy with Dr. Evans than they have experienced in past therapy. Dr. Evans does not try to keep clients in therapy longer than necessary although he is a big believer

Megan Learned is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. Over the past 3 years, Megan has worked with active-duty military members in a partial hospitalization program (PHP) setting, mostly conducting work with those who have trauma, depression, anxiety, and/or suicidal tendencies.

I know that it can be daunting to start talking to someone, let alone to bare yourself to them and admit all your struggles. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus on helping clients rebuild, restructure and work through tough situations. I have a strong background in the natural sciences and philsophy and incorporate this experience into my clinical work and have found this to be a very effective approach in seeing clients effectively work through and resolve issues in their lives. I primarily focus on a cognitive behavioral therapy approach as it is an applied model to use as a template that describes the internal distress with specific methods to apply and reduce severity of those stressors.
