Cognitive Behavioral Theory gives us tools for changing automatic responses to more desirable ones. I work with couples to enhance their communication styles and to resolve conflicts. I also like to work with premarital couples exploring strengths as well as potential growing edges.

As a husband of 34 years and a parent of three young adults, I have many valuable life experiences as well as certified clinical training to both professionally counsel and coach this group of clients. This period of development is complex, filled with countless possibilities and ever changing. Secure attachment and attunement are critical for healthy relationships. The adolescent knows that I care a great deal for their overall well being and individual successes. I have experience working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief/loss, past trauma, and other significant life events. I use EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques to help my clients develop positive and healthy coping skills. I work to empower my clients, assist them in the self-awareness process, to relieve distress and find solutions in their daily lives.
