James Mori, LPC, LAC Specializing in Adult Recovery Services who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, a Master of Science degree in Counseling/School Counseling from the University of Phoenix and specialized Addiction Certification training at Odyssey Training Center. James has experience providing counseling services to a variety of individuals, particularly adolescents and adults, in various settings within the community. James has training in trauma-informed care, stress reduction, addiction intervention, crisis intervention, and is certified in CPR/AED.

I believe that individuals are uniquely designed with an inner connectedness spanning our cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual experiences. Because of this design, health and healing are best found through strengthening each of these interconnected elements of our being. My therapeutic approaches are based upon this belief. With couples, I use a hope-focused (strengths based) approach, while examining the family dynamics, or "systems" that are in effect. When working with individuals, I use Cognitive Behavioral approach (CBT), client-centered and systems approaches to holistically facilitate growth, healing and increased self-awareness.

I also specialize in mental health services for adults with specific concerns related to trauma, religious and spiritual struggles, racial/ethnic identity, relationship issues, and phase of life problems.
