My name is Emily Kasper, I am a graduate of the University of Florida and specialize in working with children, teens, adults and parents. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. I am EMDR Trained, and I specialize in trauma and attachment disorders. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard and valued. I believe we are able to heal and shift dysfunctional relationships through the safe and secure relationship in therapy. I believe every person needs a safe place to share their feelings and be shown unconditional acceptance.

I specialize in working with high schoolers and people in their 20's on a variety of topics. My passion is helping people heal from their pasts and start creating the future that they have dreamed about living. Lori has been providing individual and family therapy to children 5 yrs to 18 yrs, and their families, as well as adults since 1992. Her passion for supporting children and teens is evident in her work, which focuses on family dynamics, child development, risk and safety assessment, separation, out of home placement, adoption, grief and loss, special education and community resources for families with children with special needs. Her greatest hope is that each client, despite their compromising circumstances, will experience healing and find the hope that they need to prevail and live up to their potential.

While this is my nature, I can also be direct with a client and tell them what I am seeing in them if that is what I believe is necessary to move them forward in their journey for change. I work with individuals, couples and families. I have seen a variety of couples ranging in age from 18 to 72. Individuals seek help for a variety of reasons.

I believe in the importance of incorporating awareness of the body through somatic reflection.

Throughout my career and education, I have gained experience working with diverse populations that include Veterans, law enforcement, both rural and urban community mental health, educational settings, hospitals and crisis counseling. Through this experience I have gained valuable insight which has allowed me to incorporate a review of past experiences and how those experiences have manifested in today’s current behavior and challenges.

Hello and welcome. My passion is working with adolescents, young adults, and the families who support them. My connection with adolescents is built on trust, safety, comfort, respect, and understanding, which allows me to create relationships with teens that can be hard fought with other adults. Speaking what can seem to be a foreign language and creating a bridge to families through the translation of that language brings purpose to my work. I have over twelve years of experience working with adolescents and families in different capacities and have dedicated my career to working exclusively with this population.
