I am a licensed clinical psychologist who believes in the resilience of the human spirit. Living in society can seem chaotic and often feeling heard by others may seem impossible, yet we yearn for love and harmony. Too often, we wind up distancing ourselves because it may seem easier, but then the result is feelings of alienation and loneliness. We add to these feelings of loneliness by erecting barriers between ourselves and others which only perpetuate the problem. Therapy can offer a means of releasing energy so that barriers are removed permitting new possibilities for a more content existence.
I specialize in working with clients who have a variety of concerns such as stress, depression, life transitions, anxiety, and relationship issues. Coming from both a psychological as well as a nursing background, I work from a holistic perspective, with a focus on personal and work-based issues.
My therapeutic orientation includes a solution-focused approach with attention to the whole person. I offer a caring, empathic, and safe environment for the development of a collaborative relationship. I strive to create a domain in which my clients continually deepen their understanding of themselves and their reality.
