I work from the person-centered approach which supports the belief that you are NOT defined by the challenges you experience.
I enjoy working from the family systems approach when working with individuals, families, and couples. When family dysfunction occurs, one individual in the family may be blamed for the dysfunction. The family systems approach views the dysfunction as a product of the system rather than one individual.
Depending on your needs, I may utilize various research based approaches to teach you skills for emotional regulation, identifying thinking errors, and implementing new ways of coping. In the initial session, we will begin formulating a treatment plan with your identified goals based on what you want to achieve in therapy.
