Neurodiverse clients I have worked with said they felt understood and supported and said that I genuinely care about them. I encourage neurodiverse communication styles, ways of thinking, and varieties of emotional expression. I will follow your lead on what you want out of therapy. The autistic community has a higher rate of trans and nonbinary gender identities which I celebrate. I also have a master’s degree in child development. I focused on sexual development and attachment theory. I support all sexualities and ethical relationship styles. I also studied healthy racial identity development in people of color and white people.
We can live in our head, cut off from our heart and body. We can rebalance in ways that work for you at a pace that fits you. I am pursuing training in EMDR. I am also currently taking a course in neurodiversity-informed mindfulness. I have years of experience in executive functioning, life balance, and burnout recovery.
I became a therapist to go further in well-being work, as colonialism and white supremacy are dehumanizing and have us struggling to balance, rest, and just be without doing, doing, doing, to just be human. I deeply value the rapport we build and am honored as you share your story with me. I am happy to do a 15-min free intro meeting by phone or video.
