I ran the mental health services for UW athletics & am the consulting clinician for the MLB and the NHL. I work best with driven people experiencing a big change. Perhaps, despite your best efforts, things aren’t working out as you’d hoped. Or perhaps you’ve gotten all you wanted and it doesn’t satisfy. Though I often work with athletes I am not a Sports Psych. In fact, I don’t even follow sports! I’m here for the rest of your life and identity.
I offer telehealth to adults in TN, WA, and FL. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based practice that focuses on Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness. I work with you to find the balance of thoughts, feelings and skills to build a life worth living beyond grades, trophies or awards.
Folks often describe my approach as incisive, non-judgmental and warm. Sessions tend to include a healthy balance of self discovery, real talk, skill-building and (when appropriate) humor.
