I use an integrative approach to treatment. Every person is unique, and as such, I tailor psychological treatment and therapeutic relationships to the need of individual patients by using both theoretical integration and technical eclecticism. When conceptualizing a case, I consider attachment styles and self-object functions, particularly when people are diagnosed with personality disorders. I aim to help patients find a stable personal identity and cope with distress.
I have been trained in cognitive behavioral, dialectic behavioral, and exposure therapy by renowned clinicians who have been pioneers in researching and treating anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders at UCLA. Throughout my years in practice, I have specialized in anxiety, mood, OCD, personality, and post-traumatic stress disorders.
I was born in Italy. Thanks to my previous career as an artist, since young adulthood, I have been immersed in different subcultures and lived in major European cities, which may have contributed to my open-minded approach and nonjudgmental style as a psychologist.
