By creating a safe environment, I seek to understand each person, their unique story and to bring about health, fulfillment and support. I believe every individual, couple and family has a story they bring into therapy that includes not only their situation at hand, but a personal, family and diverse experiential history. My approach in therapy is tailored toward the uniqueness of each person. Together, we will work towards facilitating more self-understanding, more effective ways of handling life challenges, and strengthening relationships with others.
I have been working with individuals, couples and families for over 20 years. In individual and couples therapy, it is important to create a therapeutic relationship that is based on trust and acceptance. I seek to delve into the problems at hand and discern core issues for individuals and relationships.
I have given marriage seminars and workshops in the last few years to improve communication skills, conflict resolution, and regain the friendship and intimacy in the relationship. I also enjoy working with young adults and understand from professional experience and training some of the complex issues in this developmental period.
