My name is Cierra Anderson. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor. I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years and have been in therapy for a little over four. I enjoy being able to meet people where they are an capitalize on areas of growth for an individual. I have worked with many different clients from children to geriatric adults. I enjoy working with young adults the most. I treat a variety of complex issues including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and personality disorders.
I utilize a client-centered and strengths-based approach to allow a client to work within their existing environment to better themselves. Though working through Telehealth can be a challenge, I aim to create a casual environment where I can meet with clients comfortably. I aim for us to be able to connect authentically and create opportunities for growth.
In our first session, we will talk a bit about your history. I normally ask what brought you to therapy, if you have been before, and what you are most nervous about. The first session is really for us to build a foundation for our therapeutic journey.
