I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and couples. My interests include interpersonal relationships, self and identity issues, emerging adulthood, healing from trauma, divorce and breakups, loss, parenting, and existential concerns. I have extensive experience in women's mental health, including reproductive and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, relationship and attachment difficulties, disordered eating and body esteem. Additionally, I have a passion for working with adolescents, college-age young adults and their parents.
I want to help you identify and shift unconscious self-defeating patterns of thinking, feeling and acting. I believe that with greater self-awareness of your early history along with your unique longings and desires you can make more satisfying choices, develop more adaptive coping mechanisms, and discover new ways of relating to others.
My style is authentic, down-to-earth, emotionally engaged and direct, but also warm. As a multicultural and bilingual psychologist, I welcome the opportunity to work with clients with intersecting identities and/or diverse backgrounds; including international students, expats, first or second generation immigrants, or intercultural couples.
