I work with client's experiencing trauma, adjustment, mood disturbances, relationship/family issues, sexual assault, Domestic Violence, Depression, anxiety. My communication style is heavily focused on actively listening, validating, and providing exploration and clarification. I seek to understand the client with a warm, supportive tone but also challenging the client to promote growth and accountability.
I was first attracted to becoming a therapist due to trauma I had experienced and wanting to assist and support others on their journey. I approach goal setting by joining with the client to prioritize goals on a realistic/unrealistic basis and making observable, measurable goals.
