I utilize a client centered approach- talk therapy- with a goal of providing clients an opportunity to develop an improved sense of self. With heightened self awareness, clients can realize how their attitudes, feelings, and behaviors are being negatively affected by their current mental health. Trauma and DBT informed, my practice philosophy is to work collaboratively with clients to develop an understanding of the presenting problems and to find strategies to cope and improve their lives. My work focuses on emotional, cognitive and behavioral therapy techniques.
I have worked as a mental health counselor in the greater Morrisville community for the past ten years. My experience includes work in the schools, mental health agencies and private practice. I provide individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents and adults-and work with a range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, and trauma.
