For therapy to be helpful, it is essential to feel at ease and understood. I believe the most productive therapeutic environment is one of mutual trust, respect and collaboration. I am committed to helping individuals make desired changes to promote personal growth and enhance life experiences. I have extensive experience counseling young adults and prior to my career as a mental health counselor I worked as a Career Counselor in a higher education setting.
I work with clients dealing with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, GLBTQ related concerns and relationship issues. I have experience with evidenced based treatments including CBT and DBT. However I customize treatment to focus not only on the problem/symptoms but the uniqueness of each client.
I work together with clients to help them take a mindful approach to life in order to help decrease stressful feelings, change dysfunctional patterns and improve coping skills.
