This provides me with the flexibility to work with a wide variety of people. With over 35 years experience I have worked with all ages from 7 to 90+ years old. I currently work with young adults or adults age 18 to 99+ years old.
I have experience and training in Motivational Interviewing, DBT,Trauma Based Treatment and EMDR. I can stay present focused so that real learning, reevaluation and change takes place both in and after session. I look at past events to help look at current triggers. Strengths determine techniques.
Being strength based provides me with flexibility to work with a secular approach or a faith based approach depending on strengths and preferences. Examples of techniques: mindfulness, relaxation exercises, creative visualizations, breathing, meditation, problem solving, CBT, trauma based,modeling and more with the individual's strengths always in mind.
