As a licensed clinical psychologist for almost twenty years, I am expert in helping children, teens, and young adults struggling with mood, trauma, acculturation stresses, and academic difficulties. I am well-versed in cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and play techniques. My approach is integrative and person-centered. I believe that my clients possess an innate force to grow and heal. Through compassion, creativity, empathy, and a sense of humor, I facilitate such growth and healing by helping them understand themselves, manage their emotions, utilize their strengths, overcome life’s challenges, and fulfill their potential.
My work is also informed by my multicultural lived experience. Both my personal experiences throughout the world and my professional experiences working with diverse client populations, have helped me appreciate the most treasured parts of different backgrounds and have allowed me to quickly yet deeply connect with people of various ethnicities and cultures.
Starting psychotherapy for yourself or your child can feel a little overwhelming. I am here to guide, support, and encourage you. During our work together, I will provide you with the tools, techniques, and strategies you need to ease your distress, live with more confidence and mindfulness, and become the best version of yourself.
