Hello! I have a passion for joining clients at whatever point they are in their journey and walking with them toward health and wellbeing. I take great care to provide an inviting and supportive environment and to meet clients with compassion and acceptance. It is my goal that you feel seen, heard, supported and safe. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance based on respect, allowing clients to be fully present with themselves. It is my belief that each person has within them the courage and resources for healing, and I strive to provide an affirming environment and research backed therapeutic tools to help access these resources.
I have been fortunate to practice psychotherapy since 1992. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Yoga Therapist and love to use Mind-Body practices to help clients alleviate anxiety, depression and other distress. I am a Level 1 Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, and am also trained in Christian Counseling and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
I do not believe it is the therapist’s job to “fix” the client, but to help the client discover their own inner resources. I find great joy in combining my varied education, professional experiences and interests to provide a customized approach to helping my clients meet their goals. I embrace and honor each person's unique journey in life and therapy.
