I conduct comprehensive assessments for ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Math Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, and other processing deficits that can affect learning and academic performance. I also have unique experience with medical conditions that affect learning, such as premature birth, in utero drug exposure, head injury, seizure disorders, and genetic syndromes. I focus on discovering your, or your child's, strengths and weaknesses so that the best mode of learning is clear. I also make recommendations for home and school interventions and accommodations; that is, I help you with a plan of action.
I typically conduct assessments in one day so that you only have to miss one day of work and/or school. The assessment process includes an initial interview, administration of tests, and a feedback session to go over the preliminary results of the assessment. A comprehensive written report follows.
In addition to conducting complete assessments, I am available to review school-based or other testing and help you understand the results. I can also supplement previous testing to help clarify diagnosis. Teacher training in the area of learning and attention differences is also an area of interest for me.
