Many people have trouble with emotions, whether it be emotional extremes or avoidance and numbness. The struggle with emotional resiliency can lead to many mental health symptoms. If your emotions are impacting (or running) your life, highly validating DBT skills and perspectives can be a game-changer. Starting with the very first session, we will begin to formulate a behavioral picture of what has been going on in your life, and we will identify small, achievable actions that you can implement immediately to strengthen your motivation. Sessions are relaxed and highly informative and leave you feeling understood and hopeful.

I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an emotion-based and skills-driven approach that helps us become more resilient with our emotions and behave in ways that match our beliefs and values. DBT has been shown in research to help people feel more capable of handling life's challenges, particularly handling change and uncertainty.
I offer DBT-informed therapy for less serious issues or the full program for those who need to make substantial changes. I do my own scheduling. I am very responsive by email and phone, usually within 24 hours. I am also a social worker, so I can assist you with finding resources. I also personally address billing and issues that arise in a timely fashion.
