Through my training and experience, I have embraced the understanding that living our best life depends on relationship and healthy interdependence. Sometimes, trauma creates barriers to having our most fulfilling relationships. Relating authentically with others begins with self – compassion and self-acceptance. The basis of my practice is to create a safe, reflective space for this to happen.
My experience in the community, schools, and private practice has taught me to attend to others with curiosity. I believe in meeting people where they are. My approach is relationship centered, trauma informed, and always with awareness of cultural context and individual beliefs and values.
Clients have described me as being uniquely skilled at having hard conversations while balancing honesty with kindness and compassion. I value a practical, validating, and supportive approach to psychotherapy. I draw from a number of modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with individuals and couples, mindfulness, person-centered, and CBT.
