My focus is helping clients with depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, life transitions and grief/loss. I rely on collaboration and evidence-based interventions to assist adults, teens and couples in navigating their personal journeys forward while also sometimes processing the past that brought them to this point. I believe that within each of us is a library of "knowing." My job is to help clients access that authentic part of themselves, providing a "library card" of sorts, so that they can make decisions and life choices that align with their values and support their goals and hopes for the future.
Together, we move toward a better understanding of who you are and how you show up in relationships, while making space for emotional growth that honors your personal values and worldviews. Humans spend a lot of time and effort tending to their "outsides"- going to the gym, eating healthy, etc. Sometimes our insides could use a little tuning up as well.
Therapy provides an opportunity to bring wellbeing to the parts of ourselves we don't see in a mirror. In addition to being a therapist, I've been a divorced mom of two sons, a mid-life career changer, and a professional musician. These experiences, combined with research and best practices, allow me to create meaningful, healing connections with my clients.
