My experience and interest includes working with children, adolescents, individuals and families on a variety of different issues; including depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, multi-cultural families and trauma.
I have a special passion for gifted children and adolescents. As a parent of gifted children, I devour as much information as I can on giftedness. I am interested in all the complexities gifted students and their families face. I can help your family navigate this fascinating and challenging world.
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Family Systems, but also use different therapeutic interventions based on the client's needs. I also like to believe, real or imaginary, that I have sincere ability to connect with clients with empathy and, a little humor.
