I am a Married and Family Therapist Resident in Counseling. I completed my Master’s degree at Northcentral University. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University. My professional experience in career counseling and working with youth services programs has led me to the marriage and family therapy field.

I am a Clinical Psychologist in the Christiansburg area. I use a variety of therapies to help each individual with their specific needs. My approach to therapy is warm, empathic, and caring. Whether there is pain from which you are seeking relief, or ways you just feel stuck, my job is to empower and equip you to grow into more of the person you want to be – and to respect and care for the person you already have become! I also offer objective testing for ADHD and other forms of psychological assessment.

I began helping others in 1990 as a Peer Counselor (Drug Exemption NCO) while on active duty in the Marine Corps. After earning degrees in Psychology and Social Work at UNCW/ECU, I obtained licensure to practice independently with the Virginia Board of Health Professionals in 2004. I am originally from the Hampton Roads area but have worked internationally with people from many different backgrounds. I have continued to support the military, as well as the community at large, for over 3 decades with evidence-based treatments for trauma (PTSD).

Darian Phillips Fawbush is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 4 years of experience in the mental health field. Darian specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, women's issues, rural mental health, and the intersectionality of familial, social, and cultural dynamics that can bring a diverse range of challenges. Darian identifies as an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and affirms all spiritual or religious beliefs. Darian completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia's College-Wise, and her Master's degree in Counseling Education from Virginia Tech.
