I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Abilene Christian University and my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Case manager. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University. I have provided mental health counseling for over 20 years, starting my mental health career in the United States Air force, having deployed several times as a social worker supporting troops at their deployed locations.

At times we all struggle with life changes such as job change or loss, the ending of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, parent-child conflict, or family-marital conflict. These changes can cause feelings of sadness, depression or anxiety. I look forward to working with clients who are seeking help with navigating life's ups and downs.

Little did we know that life’s journey would be full of twists and turns which take us down a road of perpetual self-discovery. My counseling approach is person-centered using an eclectic position (i.e. I do not rigidly stick to one specific approach). Since each individual has their own unique experiences, I believe that it is in the best interest of the client to take into consideration an approach that will best fit their desired goals. I counsel teenagers, adults, couples, families, and military members, addressing experiences in all areas, including abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, moral injury, relationships, stress, and trauma.

I specialize in "Caring for Caregivers" - because as a parent (or helping professional, educator, or medical professional), you are incredible at caring for others, but often neglect caring for yourself. You put others needs above your own, sometimes (or often, honestly) to your own discomfort. Oops. We can experience that transformation to sustainable caregiving together. I have also helped over 175 people out of suicidal ideation and it is another calling of mine to help if you or your child struggle with this.

My name is Stephanie Allen. I specialize in Seniors and Trauma Therapy. I am skilled to work with all kinds of trauma, abuse, chronic pain, and life/stress issues. I also supervise interns and license seeking social workers. I like to work with adult clients from ages 21 and up.
