Secular psychology has many models for helping people live psychologically and socially healthy lives. And while there is value in these approaches, they are at root secular and not founded upon a religious or spiritual understanding of reality. For some people, the spiritual or religious is central to who they are and how they live. These people are not comfortable with the secular notion that one can be fully healthy while ignoring God. As a Christian, who is trained in secular psychology and Christian theology, I offer as an option a Christian counseling approach that attempts to incorporate the best of both worlds.

My goal as a therapist is to bring hope, acceptance, and healing to those who are hurting or facing difficult life challenges. I emphasize an approach that is focused on you, the client, in an honest, safe, and collaborative process that will help you to maximize your innate capacity for wellness. We will work together, utilizing the resources and strengths that you bring, to help you to identify and obtain your goals.

As a licensed therapist, I help you sort out the pieces of your story, make sense of them, and even find joy in them. I specialize in working with girls and women who are searching for support related to anxiety, depression, body image & self esteem related issues, eating disorders, relationships, trauma, and life transitions.

I believe progression towards healing is always possible. The ability to heal is not the problem. It is getting the right help and doing “the work” that creates healing. I love helping people understand their issues and how to heal or deal with them.

I work primarily with teens, college students, and recent college graduates. I also work with adults. I am here to help you work through life transitions, or struggles that you may be facing. My goal is to help you feel comfortable coming to counseling and encourage you to focus on the challenge that brought you in. Life can throw unexpected challenges at us and I would love to help you navigate through the challenges of life successfully.

When our Memories are greater than our Dreams we tend to focus only on setbacks and disappointments. Changing behaviors that lead to a healthy lifestyle may seem like mission impossible based on the struggles and failures encountered in the past. I have a passion to help clients overcome obstacles that have lead to a perception of failure. I strive to help individuals stay motivated by focusing on what they have control over, learning new skills to bring life back into balance and gain confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed.

My vision is to help clients get away from dysfunction to full potential, to help them live a life worth living. I enjoy clients who do not feel "in-tune" with themselves because of past experiences & it is important to me to help realign their lives in order to be intentional about who they want to be, what boundaries they want for life, & also to help them take care of themselves. I consider myself to be a compassionate and dedicated Holy Spirit lead psychologist, founder and president of Sagacity Global Psych & Associates. I combine Biblical principles and expertise in psychology to address the psychological needs of my clients. I enjoy working with older adolescents and adults who may be survivors of trauma and abuse, and those dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, relationship challenges, stress management, Christian spiritual concerns, racial identity development, and/or systemic racism.

I believe it is important to help each client feel comfortable, valued, and respected during the therapeutic process. My approach focuses on helping you achieve a healthy, satisfying lifestyle by encouraging long-lasting changes to target and diminish the symptoms that led you to seek services. I work effectively with adolescent and adult clients struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and relationship problems. To ensure that every client feels confident in the counseling process I offer a free 15 minute consultation for new clients to answer any questions you may have about getting started.

I really enjoy working with individuals and families on issues involving stress and anxiety (Panic Disorder, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, Agoraphobia, etc.), folks dealing with issues related to the Autistic Spectrum, people dealing with adjustments to chronic health issues and their impacts, and relationship concerns ranging from parenting and romantic relationships to family dynamics and interacting with adult children.

Hello! I view each person (or couple) as unique and autonomous. I believe everyone has a story of where they have been, where they are, and where they are hoping to go. These stories are complex and I believe everyone has biological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. I like to work with clients to understand how they can get those met in healthy ways and how they can navigate this journey we call life. I also enjoy setting goals with my clients. It's through setting and achieving goals, that you will feel you're getting the most out of our time together.

I am a social worker licensed in Michigan with 10 years of experience in the clinical field. I have worked with clients to address crisis intervention, life transitions, and chronic anxiety and depression. My areas of passion also include crisis of faith, body image, self-harm, and eating disorders. My hope for my clients is that they'll find a safe space to address their concerns, to feel heard, and to leave with a greater understanding of self.
