I offer a holistic, whole-person approach to therapy influenced by Yoga and Buddhism. This means I see mental health obstacles as opportunities for personal growth and am mostly present- and future-focused, while still tending to the past. My goal is to create calm, confidence, and happiness derived from within. I have experience with depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic/treatment resistant symptoms, and cultural/diversity concerns, amongst others. I work with adults of all ages and I also have a 2-year specialization with undocumented/immigration concerns.
I help you see how you think, feel, cope, are in relationships, your values, attitudes, and strengths. We will look at these in-the-moment so you better understand how they may be helping or limiting you, with the aim of creating lasting change. I am fluent in Spanish and lived in Mexico for 3 years, which helps me be more sensitive to cultures of all types.
My ultimate goal is to help empower you, in a warm and supportive way, so that you are able to increasingly face the difficulties of life on your own with confidence and assuredness. This includes working collaboratively with you – as equals – to both form a meaningful relationship and to tailor my approach to fit your specific needs.
