Since 2003, I have been working with adolescents and adults in a variety of contexts. I am passionate about guiding clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, complicated grief, and family of origin issues toward healing and freedom. I enjoy teaching individuals how to recognize and release themselves from repeating destructive coping patterns in their current relationships. I am trained in EMDR and utilize this and other strategies to help clients get unstuck from a variety of issues including PTSD, other trauma reactions, and anxiety issues including phobias.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Parts Work. These approaches help clients gain insight as they identify root causes for problems and replace negative beliefs with more positive and adaptive ones. Clients also learn practical tools they can use at home.
