I enjoy working with clients with a variety of life challenges and mental health or substance use issues, but I particularly enjoy working with clients who have experienced complex trauma and PTSD. I have experience with addiction, including opioid addiction, and dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction issues combined). I am currently accepting new clients for in-person or telehealth therapy and l am able to accept most insurance plans.
In addition to being a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, I have extensive training in trauma-informed therapy. I welcome all clients living with addiction and I am committed to fighting the stigma around substance use disorders. I particularly enjoy working with pre-teens and teens who have been impacted by a family member's substance use.
Clients and colleagues describe me as a compassionate, energetic, and easygoing therapist with a welcoming style. I strive to make therapy sessions more comfortable and less intimidating so that people feel safe to open up about the most difficult of topics. Reaching out for help is hard, but I hope you do!
