My name is Dr. Chrissy Stabler, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I have extensive experience providing evaluation and therapy for children, adolescents, and their parents. My practice emphasizes the use of empirically supported, evidence-based approaches in treatment. Services offered include individual and group therapy within the behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness theoretical frameworks. My goal is to help children and families understand and treat concerns that are causing problems in their day-to-day life. It is important for me to work with my clients to find practical approaches that can be incorporated into their lifestyle.
I have specialty training with individuals who have been diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities (such as an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Learning Disorders); thus, additional considerations are taken into account when working with children who have those co-occurring challenges.
I believe in the importance of a holistic approach when working with children and adolescents. I collaborate with parents, teachers, pediatricians, and other supports within the child's environment when developing treatment plans.

Social Skills Group
Theory of mind is the ability for someone to attribute beliefs, ideas, and intentions to oneself and others, or the ability to understand why someone acts or feels a certain way and/or to predict how others will behave or feel in different situations. Theory of mind is a core concept that is taught in my social skills groups. I use material from Social Thinking Curriculum, which focus on teaching perspective taking skills and theory of mind, to help children with this ability. This is a non-judgemental setting in which participants can practice their newly learned skills with peers.
