I am a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor III (CADC-III) and have assisted families in crisis for over a decade. My therapeutic style is influenced by the principles of Gestalt Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). When working with families my focus is on what is happening in the here-and-now and overcoming disruptive attitudes, values, beliefs, and behavior that undermine quality of life and interpersonal relationships. My aim is to empower individuals and families to identify maladaptive characteristics and elicit positive change in their lives.
I believe I can assist you by being direct, helping identify the source of your problem and developing a plan of action to elicit change. Often, the problem, and sustainable solution, lies within you. Whether it be lack of coping skills and/or lack of personal responsibility, I hope to help you access the inner resources to create sustainable change.
