My name is Chloe Novatka. I am an EMDR trained and trauma-informed mental health counselor. In the therapy process, I help guide clients to remain in the present while we look through the window into the past. By doing so, the dots begin connecting and patterns are identified that may be adjusted in order to experience a more fulfilling future. I take a compassionate and patient approach with my clients as we begin to uncover the person whom they were meant to be.
In EMDR training, I was instructed to promote the brain’s natural ability to heal itself. I have found it fascinating and inspiring to watch the ways in which each client integrates the tools already deep within, sometimes with a needed gentle push.
I have utilized EMDR with a variety of issues, such as complex trauma, specific phobias, OCD and OCD-related disorders, social and performance anxiety, and single-incident traumas.
