I am an eclectic practitioner with training in gestalt, somatic experiencing, emotional freedom techniques, EMDR/bilateral stimulation, and mindfulness, to name a few. I see my role as therapist as a partner/guide in navigating the wholeness of life.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ plus children, adolescents and their families. I offer individual and joint sessions as needed, currently using telehealth, and offer group therapy when appropriate participants present themselves.
Since we all come to the topics of sexual orientation and gender identity with varied experience and understanding, I like to start by making sure we have an appropriate and common vocabulary. Due to differing perspectives, I feel part of my role is to function as a translator. I invite family members to recognize and acknowledge their inherent gifts.
