Hi there! My name is Chinh. If you’ve reached my page, chances are that your heart has been broken, you probably just had the umpteenth argument with your significant other, or you are just tired of the endless cycle of self-doubt, low self-esteem, and irrational thoughts/beliefs. I come from a culture that does not typically believe in mental illness. Emotional issues were ignored or swept under the rug. I was taught growing up that I shouldn't talk about my feelings; showing any type of emotion was a sign of weakness. My hope as a therapist is help end the stigma associated with mental illness and normalize reaching out for help.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. I also have a Ph.D., in Counseling Studies. I love working with adults and skilled at providing therapy in both individual and couples' formats. Clients come to me with help for grief/loss issues and relationship/communication deficits.
I've been told by the people closest to me that I am a great listener. I am non-judgmental and will always focus on people's strengths first and foremost. Empathy and genuineness are also traits I possess. I want to walk alongside you to help you get from a place of darkness and sadness to that of hope and healing.
