My treatment philosophy is to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients to share their unique experiences, gain additional insights, and learn positive coping skills to maximize psychosocial functioning. Psychotherapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and client, where the client is an active participant. Together, we work on developing individualized treatment goals and interventions using a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities. As a clinical social worker, I believe my client's relationship with the environment is essential in fostering healthy mental, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
My clinical research and practice interests include maternal mental health (pregnancy loss, postpartum mood and anxiety issues), intergenerational and cultural conflicts, and complex trauma.
