I am a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience helping children, adults, and families to grow, connect, and experience more joy in their lives. My treatment and consultation services range from evaluation and short term support to comprehensive intervention. I am guided by the belief that individuals and families possess great strength that is fully expressed through nurturing relationships, empathic listening, and collaborative problem solving. Supporting insight and skill building, I aim to help others develop positive well-being, cultivate healthy relationships, and navigate life challenges.
Areas of specialization include early intervention with young children with challenges in temperament, behavior, anxiety, mood, attention, self-control, and social skills. Many clients also have sensory or language difficulties. I incorporate strong parent and school consultation as well as developmentally appropriate mindfulness based practices.
I enjoy conducting training seminars in the community on topics of child development and healthy family relationships. Through the Lourie Center for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness, I also have a long standing supervisory and training role. I am pleased to have two licensed associates with my practice, Gwen Campbell, LCPC & Kelly Rush, LCSW-C.
