Being in the world can often feel like a challenge. I work with individuals and couples who want to improve their relationships by gaining a greater sense understanding. I work with clients to develop their self knowledge and self worth so they can embrace their hopes and accept feelings of disappointment. The ability to self-reflect helps in moving toward a more satisfying future with a greater sense of compassion and tolerance for yourself and a greater openness toward others. The goal of the work is the creation of an emotionally safe home where acceptance and recognition can foster personal emotional growth and healing.
As a relational psychoanalyst I am deeply committed to the ways that the internal lives of my clients emerge and impact them on a daily basis. The dynamic relationship between me and my clients encourages expansiveness offers a sense of support during the process of personal transition.
My experience university professor has made me especially sensitive to the consequences of judgement and the importance of diverse and open conversation. We all learn differently... especially about ourselves. I consider it a privilege to help my clients discover their capacity for individuality and difference.
