Sometimes life can be confusing and overwhelming. I believe that the most effective treatment is focused on providing a comfortable and supportive environment while assisting the individual, couple or family to identify and modify beliefs and/or behaviors that impede healthy functioning. General areas that can be addressed in treatment include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, gambling and family/life issues.
Counseling can also be useful in clarifying and resolving specific individual or relationship issues, expanding personal insight, strengthening self-confidence, developing healthier coping skills and improving effective communication techniques. Treatment goals are developed with each individual, and are designed to focus on areas of personal significance.
