Hi there, I'm Chelsea! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of field experience. I specialize in clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues but have worked with clients with numerous mental health and life struggles including parenting issues, bipolar, self-harm, and much more. I know starting therapy can feel scary and overwhelming so I strive to provide a warm, welcoming therapeutic environment. A strong relationship is the most important thing to me during the therapeutic process. Once that is established then we can focus on the work that needs to be done.
I always want my clients to feel welcome and accepted when working with me. I want clients to feel comfortable because oftentimes they are sharing very personal information and I always want to be respectful of that. Once clients feel safe and respected I want them to take away ideas that challenge their thinking.
I believe that goals should be driven my the client. During the first session, I ask clients what their goals are for their time working with me and that's what I tailor their future sessions around.
